What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a natural art and a holistic therapy that involves the use of fine needles, heat, and/or electricity, to stimulate various active points on the body.  It is effective in improving general health by preventing and alleviating pain and disease.

Does Acupuncture hurt?

An acupuncturist inserts very fine needles into specific points on the body. It is made of flexible solid stainless metal. You might feel very mild stimulation. Acupuncture is painless therapy.

Is Acupuncture proved by western medicine?

Scientific evidence confirms that acupuncture is effective and can alter the levels of natural chemicals called encephalins and endorphins which are produced in the brain.

Many laboratory experiments have demonstrated complex neurophysiological reflexes which may mediate some of the responses to acupuncture.

How does Acupuncture work?

It is based on the theory that energy flows continuously through our bodies over series of meridians.  This energy qi regulates all of our body’s functions.

Acupuncture disperses the blockages and restores the balance of energy.  It results in an improvement of the body, mind and spirit, thereby restoring and maintaining health.
